Sticky notes

I have been away for a few days so I (clearly) haven't been posting. I'm, getting back into the saddle now, starting with these lovely sticky notes I found. As some of you may know, I adore practical, everyday items being turned into something special. I think it does miracles for the mood and will just make you smile. These are designed by Sleepictures. This name was chosen because the design goods reflect "the sacred language of imagination and innocence". All music to my ears.

Pastel trees

I found yet another gorgeous wallpaper. The feathery appearance trees sometimes seem to have from a distance is translated by Cole&Son into these soft pastel trees. They gave the wall paper an appropriate name, Coral Forest Wallpaper. Is suppose it is the way you look at it. Does it remind you of coral reefs growing underwater or branches waving in the wind?

Cable knit ceramics

The look of knit wear and soft materials is still on trend. Therefore I'm especially loving the this cable knit ceramics by Reshape Studio. It has the softness of woolen materials and the hard look of glazed ceramics combined and I'm pretty sure the Alice's Mad Hatter would love some cups for a tea party. Owner and product designer Danielle Spector only started her company a year ago. Can't wait to see what other objects she will design.

Driftwood pieces

With temperatures high enough for Holland to be the warmest country in Europe at the moment my mind is mainly set on beaches, summer in general & garden furniture. I found these beautiful driftwood pieces from French brand Bleu Nature which would fit perfectly at a beach house or in a green summer garden.

Miffy lights

I admit it; I have a thing for animal shaped lamps. There's such a great amount of playfulness and fun in this type of lightning, but none found their way in my house yet, although I do own the shade lamp (full of animals) by Tord Boontje. I saw these Miffy lamps a few weeks ago in town and found them online at Culture Label. Also great for kids of course. By the way Miffy was 'invented' by a Dutch author named Dick Bruna. Here she's called Nijntje and the writer of the Miffy books actually lived in my town, Utrecht. The square on which his house was, is named after him, Nijntjepleintje (Miffy Square) and we have a Miffy Museum.

Caribbean style

Nothing to do with the woods... I know, but I started searching yesterday for some Caribbean orientated products because a friend of a friend is working on a cool Caribbean fashion & lifestyle website and I found these gorgeous items and thought they were too good not to share. From left to right: Missoni bikini, Pirates of the Caribbean nailpolish by Opi with names like Mermaid's Tears, Pucci beach towel and handprinted bag by Isola Bella. Towel & bikini via Net-a-Porter.
I tried very hard to make a pretty collage, but it didn't turn out like I had in mind so if anyone knows a good collage website, please let me know. Have a good weekend!

Indulge on jewelry

I just found a lovely Australian online shop named Polli which I didn't hear from before. They sell the prettiest jewelry pieces like the tree earrings and even decorations that will light up any party. It's run by designer duo Maja Rose and Tess Lloyd. They also have a thing for sustainability and recycling. So left over material is twisted, knotted and looped to create their pretty jewelry line. I adore Mrs. Fox. Which one of the pieces do you like?

Stamped cards

Bl-ij in Arnhem only sells paper products

It's true, sometimes the stamps are prettier than the actual card. Bibi the Lang from Bl-ij must have thought the same while designing this new range of cards. For this collection she looked at beautiful postal stamps from Zimbabwe and came up with four designs; owls, birds, butterflies and bunnies. Bibi is a graphic designer who has her own range of paper products and owns a beautiful shop full of paper goods in Arnhem, The Netherlands. You don't necessarily have to go there, but can also order her cards online.
