Sweet nostalgia

It's no secret I'm a great fan of Studio Ditte, like pretty much most of the editors at Interior magazines in The Netherlands, because whenever they have a new product out, it's featured. No surprise, because this Dutch design studio always comes up with quirky wallpaper designs. I've taken an interest in this romantic one. With a little bit of glue and a handy man (or woman) you can create a room like the inside of a scrapbook.

Like ripples on a lake

Dutch designer Nicolette Brunklaus presented her beautiful new lighting collection at the Stockholm Furniture Fair. She used hot retro colours, like a deep olive and mustard yellow. The new Sognsvann pendant lamps have a soft and floaty feel to it because of the silk material used manufacturing them. She used silk with a reason, because inspiration for this lighting came from the Norwegian lake Sognsvann. “Every movement in the air provokes the silk to move slightly, like ripples on the surface of the Norwegian Lake Sognsvann”, she writes on her website.
